Eligibility Criteria

For Observers
Medical Qualification
Complete medical degree with specialization in Ophthalmology or active residency.
Professional Registration
Valid and current registration with the medical board of the home country.
English Proficiency
Proficiency in English for communication with the host center team.
Clear Motivation
Statement of interest aligned with the program's educational objectives.
Insurance & Visa
Observer is responsible for health/travel insurance and visa when required.
For Host Centers
Case Volume
Minimum of 100 keratoconus-related procedures per year (diagnosis + surgery).
Diagnostic Technology
Corneal topography, tomography, aberrometry and specular microscopy available.
Surgical Capability
At least 3 treatment modalities: CXL, ICRS, lamellar or penetrating transplant.
Designated Coordinator
Specialist responsible for supervising and evaluating the observer during the period.
Minimum Infrastructure
Dedicated space, access to clinical records (with consent) and a teaching protocol.
